Curbridge - Cotswold Stone House Renovation & Extension
This project involved the complete transformation of an existing three-bedroom house in Curbridge, Oxfordshire, originally built using reconstituted stone blocks, into a substantial six-bedroom family home.
We removed the original exterior stonework and replaced it with a natural Cotswold stone outer skin, giving the property a completely different character. Two-storey extensions were built on either side of the house, while the existing roof space was also brought into use to create additional accommodation.
Alongside the structural alterations, we carried out a full renovation of the existing property, bringing the original house and new extensions together as one home.
At the rear, extensive bifold doors open onto the patio, where a glazed oak-framed roof creates a sheltered outdoor space. This helps connect the house and garden, making the outside space more usable throughout the year.
The result is a spacious, high-specification six-bedroom family home, with the character of traditional Cotswold stone and the additional space and practical features needed for modern family living.
